Emily Bett Rickards was born in July 1991. She is an Canadian Actress best known as Felicity on the CW's television show Arrow. Rickards was raised and born within British Columbia. When she was a kid, Rickards began her professional career with the musical theater and later dancing. In later years, she was hoping to get into the world of serious acting. Her high school graduation was earlier and enrolled in the Vancouver Film School, completing the Acting Essentials program. She attended an audition at an open audition after having completed the program. It led to her being accepted with an agent. Alida Vocal Studio taught her. Originally signed as a one-episode guest, her rapport with the show's star Stephen Amell coupled with positive response from the fans and her humorous quips resulted in her being first signed as a recurring co-star in the remainder of the initial season. Then she was signed in a role that was regular in the following season.
