Amy Smart has been a model, actress as well as a former American. Born and brought up in California USA she started her modelling profession in Italy. The first time she acted was in 1996's TV movie Her Costly Affair. She struggled to get a small role for her in Starship Troopers. She struggled with the transition into acting since models weren't considered skilled actors and generally were offered smaller roles. Amy was never discouraged. Her first major role came in The 70s followed by Varsity Blues. Amy was then promoted to lead roles in the romance film Just Friends starring Ryan Reynolds. It was a huge box office success and Amy has finally achieved the recognition that she was trying for for more than a decade. She did some big films in the Crank trilogy alongside Jason Statham. And she also played a recurring role in The Shameless series.
