StephanieStephanie Sigman, a Mexican-American actress. Her first role was in Miss Bala, a Mexican crime-drama film. She was then in Pioneer (2013), Spectre (2015) and Going Under (2016). Sigman was a prominent character in Narcos (2015), S.W.A.T. (2017) and the second season of both shows. Sigman was born to the family of a Mexican mother and an American father, Lee Sigman, who is a New York Yankees scout. Through her father Sigman, she's legally a U.S. citizen. Her father, the professional baseball athlete Kenneth Ray Sigman was her mother. She began her career on Mexican television before making her debut on film in Rio de Oro. She was the lead character of Laura Guerrero (Miss Bala) in the Mexican crime drama. The film was chosen as the Mexican entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 84th Academy Awards. however it didn't make the cut. (9) Sigman was awarded a Dublin Film Critics Circle Award for her work as film critic in 2011. She was in the Canadian documentary, Flight of the Butterflies the following year. In 2013, Sigman starred with Pioneer the film, which was a Norwegian thriller.
